2 Cor 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

As a follow on to my last blog on our duty to be generous as Jesus is generous to us, I would like to share another important duty that we must fulfill.
It is not good enough that we know God's grace upon our life. It is not good enough that we tell others of His grace and love. Instead, we must develop godly habits that constantly and undoubtedly express what His grace has done in us.
Paul asked Timothy to warn some widows of the bad habits of idling, gossiping and saying things that they ought not to (1 Timothy 5:13-15). He also warned about believers who had a habit of not wanting to meet with other believers (Hebrews 10:25).
So what are some of the godly habits that we need to express to glorify Him?
How about always looking out for opportunities to do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers (Galatians 6:10).
And how about constantly considering how we may spur each other on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).
Being temperate and self-controlled, being considerate and careful in what we say so that we are not slandering others will certainly be needful (Titus 2:2-4).
Praying instead of being anxious and grumpy will certainly be a testimony to others (Philippians 4:6).
There are so much more but let us not get carried away with what we can do. Instead, let us remember that it is Him who gives us the ability to glorify Him with godly habits.
I pray that each day, His children will spend time reading His word and have the desire to be brought to a level where no matter how difficult things and circumstances may be, we can confidently say "Lord, I am assuredly yours and I will obey you without questions."
Then, we can truly express what His grace has done in us. His Name shall surely be lifted up!
God bless.
Steven
