The heritage of the servants of the Lord

"No weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD."
Isaiah 54:17

For hundreds of years, the nation of Israel suffered greatly through the many wars and humiliation and being exiled from Jerusalem.

While still in captivity, Isaiah made this powerful prophesy over Israel as a declaration of the promise of the Lord to the nation that was being redeemed. It was another 150 years before Cyrus of Persia liberated Israel and helped to rebuild Jerusalem.

This promise of the Lord stands today for His children. Hallelujah!

For all who serve Him, this assurance must be the motivation for continued service and loyalty to the Master. The Lord never promised a conflict-free life for His servants. In fact, the only sure thing when we enter into servant hood for the Kingdom is that we will face difficulties and challenges in the ministry.  These are opportunities given that will strengthen our resolve, increase our faith, raise compassion and expand our love for Him.

Indeed, as Isaiah declared, "This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and this is their vindication from me (the Lord)."

Let's soldier for His glory!

God bless.
