Let faith drive you

Hebrews 11:1-2
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2This is what the ancients were commended for.

Let's learn from the patriarchs of faith.

Abraham was called to go out to a place the God said would be his inheritance. He simply "obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going." (Heb 11:8). He demonstrated his faith in God through many other incidents that will continue to defile human or natural logic.

Faith works on the supernatural. It is "being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."

Many times, the Enemy will whisper or shout into our ears that what we are hoping for in God will not come to pass. His words are "Did God really say...and you will not surely ...." (Gen 3:1b, 4). He plays the same trick today and goes around like a toothless lion, prowling and deceiving those that he may devour.

As we constantly remind ourselves not to listen to his crafty voice, let us also determine to fill the void with our Shepherd's words of assurance and promise.

Oswald Chambers advocates, "Continually examine your attitude towards
God to see if you are willing to "go out" in every area of your life, trusting in God entirely. It is this attitude that keeps you in constant wonder, because you don’t know what God is going to do next. Each morning as you wake, there is a new opportunity to "go out," building your confidence in God. ". . . do not worry about your life . . . nor about the body . . ." (Luke 12:22). In other words, don’t worry about the things that concerned you before you did "go out." ( Utmost for His Highest)

So I say to you, resolve to let faith drive you daily......for the glory of Him!

God bless.

Steven
